Advantages of using HTS Rod Spray Lubrication
HTS Rod Spray is a specifically developed lubrication solution for the HTS Injection System assembly. It works in such a way that the spraying nozzles are located immediately behind the plunger and connected to the Spray Unit. By moving together with the plunger, it assures a uniform lubricant coating over the entire sleeve surface area. It is compatible with all injection systems.
Uniform lubrication of complete sleeve area
- As the sleeve is lubricated through the spray ring at the end of the plunger rod, the lubricant is applied throughout the whole length and diameter of the sleeve.
Less lubricant consumption
- Due to more even distribution, it uses less lubricant than the commonly used lubrication methods. Using less lubricant, fewer impurities are brought to the cast product, resulting in higher cast product quality.
Less production downtime
- By lubricating the sleeve throughout the whole length and diameter, wear of sleeve and plunger is reduced, prolonging their lifetime. This is directly reflected in less production downtime and improved casting process stability.

Dimensional range
HTS Rod Spray is compatible with all injection systems.
HTS plunger rod is produced in the same dimensional range as standard plunger rods.
Diameter: suitable for plunger diameters 100 – 300 mm
Material
HTS Plunger rods are made using QT steel.
Based on specific customer need, other steel grades can be used.
